Mode Profiles (beta)

Modes are the technology conventions adopted to meet the housing, mobility and other socio-economic needs of the global human population. Today's mode standards are the sophisticated products of extensive innovation and a vast array of complex, disparate industrial processes that few can name let alone explain.

The Anatomy of a Mode project explores the mode system concept by analysing mode characteristics and varieties. Taking inspiration from biology and other scientific disciplines, the project is currently plotting mode species trees and profiling the anatomical make-up (attributes) of member "species" (generic mode types).

This section provides an outline of different mode-types and their relations using interactive profile cards positiions side-by-side for ease of comparison.
